I struggled with weight and I felt self conscious and had low energy. I have always been an active person, getting involved with sports and running growing up, but after two kids the pounds were not coming off.
Being a new mother is an exciting time but I remember feeling like I was in a continuous cycle of eating unhealthy, low motivation, not exercising, and just not feeling like myself. I love my kids but I did not like the extra weight.
Something had to be done and I made a decision for myself to take small steps to feel good and to gain back my confidence. Small steps are important because you make lifestyle changes one step at a time. I started to change my eating habits, shifting my thoughts towards my goal, and found exercise I enjoyed. To this day I have lost 45 pounds and I feel fantastic, confident, and in the best shape of my life.
